hmmm, very interesting, I may just have to send them my Quark125b in for some waterprooofing, once they get it all up and running good......very nice find..
|
Epoxy resin works for my Kontronik Jazz ESC just well enough :P
|
I'd be interested to know how well it stands up under heat. Does it just melt again, or will it stay on the FET's of an ESC real good during operation?
Brijar!!! |
WOW..
That’s amazing!!! Will defiantly try it out!.. Thanks for the info.. |

Interesting.
Sounds similar to Corrosion-X. |
^ Yeah that's great stuff too. I think what sets this apart is that it utilizes vacuum deposition, which allows it to coat even the INSIDES of electronic equipment.
|
That stuff looks great! It just may be a PITA to send them all your electronics... I would mainly want my receiver and ESC waterproofed though. I don't think anything else is needed. I am sick of wrapping the whole chassis in saran wrap when driving in the snow...
|
I have one of these - Great for kids... you don't have to worry about it at all...

Yep same here , i would just do my esc and reciever

Doesn't Castle already use something like this on their boards? I know for a fact that some kind of film is covering the board of my Max controllers.
|
Took apart my EVX2 the other day. It is filled with some kind of rubberized epoxy. Covers everything but the power button and heatsinks.
I think the MM boards might have some kind of coating on them. I had to solder the power switch points together and it seemed to have fried some stuff on the srface that wasn't flux. |
