VID: Castle products at work

Took the ol' 6S A123 Hyper 7 out today, and shot a bit of vid.

nice buggy, seems to get good air!

brushlessboy16 07.31.2008 11:45 PM

sweet vid, how do you like the badlands?

What's_nitro? 07.31.2008 11:56 PM

Nice vid. The buggy is pretty quick. I think the first jump was the best, but that triple front flip was cool too...

I absolutely LOVE 'em. Those are actually the cheapie knockoffs from eBay. Something like $20 shipped for a set of four, already mounted and ready to rock. They hold up good on concrete, and rip on just about any surface. Going across that field, I throw a roostertail of grass. I have a set of panthers that I run on the track and the improvement is marginal, not magnitudes better like one might expect. They're the best all-purpose tire I've found so far.

Cool man, glad to point you in the right direction. I've had those on my buggy for several outings and I've beat on them pretty darn hard. They just keep coming back for more. The compound is nice and flexible, and holds up well. After seeing how those perform, I'm going to be ordering a set of their "racingspike" tires for track use:

Those look pretty good too.

I'd be interested in seeing how those hold up once you get them in and run them for a while. The other ones are nice, but the tread is a little too aggressive IMO.

You know, Brian, I thought the same thing when I bought the "big blocks". I was prepared for disappointment, but I've been pleasantly surprised with them on virtually every surface I've run on. No, I wouldn't use them for racing on hardpack, but they're the best all-purpose tire I've run so far.
