3905 chassis

Hey, rcm. I got the 3906 maxx, and looking to convert my 3906 chassis into the 3905. Is it possible? Will my 3906 maxx parts just swap over? Or will they be too short?

u might need center driveshafts and the 3905 steering setup besides that you should be fine

everything else will drop into place?

brushlessboy16 08.01.2008 10:41 PM

im 90% sure, dont hold me to it :D

you need everything in the middle Brushlessboy16 mentioned, plus center braces and the 3906 tranny wont fit it uses 8 screws 3905 uses 4 fat ones. the front and rear ends are the same lol

 I am wanting to run the dual vxl system, but the 3906 chassis doesn't have enough room for it.

Ive seen it done a few ways... or you could buy an flm chassis ? Like the pic... or put 1 vxl infront of tranny , 1 behind and the receiver on shock tower

Not a bad idea. Thanks!

The 3905 chassis is a great improvement over stock, however for the money, I agree the FLM would be the best bet.

Good luck with the project.
