Zippy-R Pack dimensions

Hey everyone, I have a question about the Zippy-R packs. I know on HobbyCity it says the packs are 170mm long, but are they really that in the real world? Because I know that when I got my TP packs, it was stated that they were 160mm in length, but in the real world when I got them they measured more like 165... So does anyone know if the Zippy-Rs are really 170mm? I don't want to drop $200+ on three packs if they are going to be too long.
Thanks!

Well it depends where you measure to. I just went and measured mine and I came up with 165mm (6.5") if you measure from the end of the pack to in between the balance and charge plugs. But if I measure from the end of the pack to the end of the shrink wrap around the charge plug leads I get 177mm (7").

So if you were using a low tray so that the balance and charge leads could just hang over the end of the tray, I would say 165mm and then use a velcro strap down the length of the pack in between the 2 plugs.

I have not been able to run this pack yet because of a faulty charger I recieved so I cannot give you any performance data on it yet. Oh and I have the 4s 4800 Zippy-R.

Thanks, that's the exact answer I was looking for. :yipi:
It sounds like they are the exact dimensions of my TP packs. I am also going to be getting the 4s 4800mah. :)
Thanks again.

so will this fit in a tray designed for the new enderland packs? (168mm compared to zippy's 170mm... personally i think they are using similar cells.

Wont fit because they are 50m wide.
I just had Mike make me two custom trays so i could fit my new PQ pack ( Enelrand cells ) and Zippy packs.

The Zippy-Rs are stated to be 45mm wide...
Are they really 50mm?

So, you measured till the blue stripe, right? That was 165mm? But can you say me the length of the pack from the end to that black cell? ( Look picture )

Ty in advance!

I'm fairly sure that he meant that the red stripe was 165mm long, and to the blue stripe it was 177mm long.

From the end of the pack to where you can see that black stuff in between the two leads, I measured 165mm. But from the end of the pack to where you have your blue line drawn, I measured 177mm.

Has anyone tried cramming a 4800mah 3s zippy-r into an e-revo?

A couple of reviews from the hobbycity site regarding the 3S 4800mAh pack:

"I use it on my Traxxas E-revo in combination with a 36-74-1900kv motor. It fits perfectly with no modifications. At this price, it is way better than most of what's available. Highly recommended."

"Use it on my e-revo. it fit without any problem. Does not come with any plug, so I put deans on them. The wires are very thick, indicating they should put out some serious power."

Thank you, guess I should have opened my eyes a little when I was looking at them!
