simple lipo question
 

Sorry for asking this question, but I'm still relatively new to the lipo world. :intello:


I would like to take a few of these cells/batts:

and turn them into two 3s 5000 mah lipos. The question is, how many cells do I need per batt and what would the configuration be called?

The whole reason for this is because all the other zippy 5000 lipos wont fit in my rusty (too long), and as a bonus, these have a good discharge rate. :yes:

Building lipo packs... hmm, dunno if that sounds like fun or a recipe for disaster. Hope you have a good iron and the tabs arent made out of something funky that requires special flux.

More to the point, those are 2s packs, you cant turn a 2s pack into a 3s pack without ripping it apart to harvest individual cells, and .. see above comments.


What you need is a pair of these, wired in parallel:

Same length, and they are already in 3s configuration. :yes:
