plugged the batteries in this mornng, turn on the switch...and ppffftt!

a small puff of white smoke comes out the side..and of course, it is done for

just came back from the post office.....oh, the agony:surprised:

ive ran my v2 for just over 3 hours combined time and no issues yet. Im trying to get Larry to say he screwed up so I feel better LOL but I know thats not the case. Ugh. Think I may take mine apart this evening and mod up the case and stuff like in BrianGs post.

oh yes....ive run 3 differnt sets of 3s through it..ive run 3s maxamps 5000's.....3s venom 5400's and 3s maxamps 6000's.....the last 2 actually fit in the battery tray, but you cant close the door!

im telling you..the esc never got over 104 on multiple 6s speed runs....it was performing flawlessly!

the failure occurred right when i turned on :gasp:the switch

Sounds right, I was not the 1st to get a V1, but was the 1st to put it in a truck and do any real world testing with it, I received mine v1, 2 days after the
first one were received. have you opened the case yet?

My MM that failed on 5s was similar to yours. Power on and fried before I even got to pull trigger.

FG101C 08.09.2008 04:24 PM

Thats fantastic, now I don't know if I should even run it for fear of frying my battery. When my V1 went up in smoke I only got lucky that the battery did not go too.

I guess I'll ebay it and stick to my nitro for another six months.
