Original rc10
I have a new found love. those gold tubbed rc10's. i was wondering if i could put a small BL set up in it. just a small one, probably like 6 cells or 8 cells. just wondering. thankks guys:Love:
Could i run a 3s lipo in it with a BL motor? |
What rc10 are you talking about Toby? buggy or the truck?
the gold tubbed buggy
Sweet! how about spare parts? if you can get them , a 8S would do great. I wanted to go with a 8S or 6S on 6-8 cells on a RC10 T2.. it would be a nice speedy machine.. i think the 8S would be my choice.. (with a 9920 or a 7020), or an MGM and some lipoly's..
I was thinking maybe even smaller. i bid on one on ebay. and it is possible to get parts for them, i might get up with a guy i know that is making ym motor mount for the savage to see if he can make me arms aetc. anyways here is the one i want

Smaller? you said you did wanted to enjoy it right??
:D |
of course. but wouldn't a 7L be good enough? i do not even know how i would mouint the beast
i am talking about the S serie motor, and now you are talking about the L's to be even smaller? :p I don't understand? :C:
OHH, i thought it said 8L. i apologize. i must be bline
Just be careful. that buggy dosen't have a slipper clutch and the ball diff is on the spur gear and i don't know if you can get diff parts for it no more.
you can, there is parts on ebay. and i can always find them some where
I just think you might want to upgrade to a stealth tranny. it will be cheaper in the long run.
Yes, that would work later models you would have to cut a hole in the chassis. I belive it will bolt up without modifications, but i'm not sure
With a stealth tranney and ball bearings it would be great because it had all metal gears execpt for the spur and the parts on it are tuff.
