on road cars

I know this is mostly for trucks and I love my t-maxx and e-maxx, but I am wanting to start a new on road project, a little something to sink more money into. I have looked at possibly the xray t1 and evo 2 as well as the HPI RS4 and pro4. I thought about picking up a trinity switchblade pan car for cheap as well. Does anyone have any suggestions for what car is worth getting? I want to go brushless with this car and I am looking at putting in my 9920 and 9xl. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome. I don't have any experience with the on road cars and I am feeling out the genre. Thanks.

A 9xl? I wouldn't mess with belts with that motor. I think maybe an Ofna 1/7 scale on road or maybe Kyosho 1/8 on road buggy based cars

a 9xl?!? how many cells? i would got with a smaller motor like the 8s or even a 6s depending on the amount of cells you want to run.

I was looking at most likely 6 to 7 cells. I say this because I allready have them. Is the 9xl to much torque for these lightweight cars? Even if I gear the car appropriately? Is this to much torque for the belt driven cars?

Defintaly too much torque, and its too big and heavy. Though i would like to see an onroad car do a wheelie... lol, Smaller motor would be best. The "S" motors would be good, they are more effective taht those low cell counts.

Maybe u should get a diff esc too since the 9920 is kinda for e-maxx. You could sell me ur 9920 and buy a nice car esc! lol

hmmmm wheel stand with a on road car... I would sell the 9920 if I hadn't just baught it from Mike and considering that it is not even here yet. My maxx has been lonely on the shelf with no power.

the maxx will have to take one for the team! Besides, i like the idea of a brushless onroad. Don't see many of them here and it'll be unique. Mike could supply u with the otehr Bk thats built for onroard or maybe a nice MGM one.
