1/8 L8IGHT Model Race Roller

http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...ead/l8ight.jpg

At a Glance

The 1/8-scale L8IGHT Model Race Roller is professionally developed and tuned specifically for dirt oval racing. Featuring realistic appearance and performance features modeled after full-scale dirt oval vehicles, the L8IGHT model is a completely assembled dirt oval race roller in one box.

The L8IGHT Model features front and rear shock towers that were specifically designed for dirt oval racing. These shock towers allow specific adjustments for different styles of dirt oval tracks and for both foam and rubber tires. The aluminum big-bore shocks are filled with silicone fluid and use precision coil springs designed for dirt oval racing.

This vehicle utilizes oversized, molded body mounts to securely hold the large body in place and to better endure wall bumps and impacts from other cars during racing. The molded front bumper and foam reinforcements help to absorb shocks and protect the front-end from crash impacts.

The L8IGHT Model also features a Late Model aerodynamic body. This body was designed to provide stability with excellent steering and tracking characteristics. Front grill and headlight decals as well as window masks to paint the body are included with the vehicle. Low profile GRP rubber racing tires mounted on yellow Losi wheels provide the traction needed for oval racing and will meet proposed "Spec" racing rules.

Cool. A more expensive alternative to the Ultra GTP I guess.

I'm surprised more companies aren't doing this. After all, how hard is it to use an already released buggy platform and make a couple parts slightly different. Either that, or offer kits to convert existing buggies into on-road cars, desert trucks, etc. The buggy platform is tried-and-true, why not use it to its full potential?

DRIFT_BUGGY 08.15.2008 12:26 AM

Tempting, wonder how much is involved in converting the buggy to this

bdebde 08.15.2008 12:33 AM

Real tempting...If the MMM works out in my Muggy, I will have a 8s capable MGM looking for a home.

Aparantly all you need to convert it is front and rear shock towers, set of front shocks, body and i think body mounts
LOSA1738 - Rear Shock Tower $20.89
LOSA1717 - Front Shock Tower $17.99
LOSA4465 - Body Mount Set $11.99
Just choose a 1/8 scale body, im probably getting a Kyosho IGT one and just look for shocks on ebay. Parts won't be out till late Nov. though
Oh & for extra
LOSA4466 - Front Bumper Set $11.99
LOSA4467 - Foam Bumper $13.99
