First E-Slayer...

Here you go guys... The first E-Slayer!

I used a Tekno Revo conversion kit. Everything fits just like a revo without any modifications. We will see how it runs at the track tomorrow against the slashes. I'm running:

Tekno Neu 1515 1.5D
Castle Creations Phoenix HV85 ESC
Neu Energy 4S-5000MAH Lipo
Futaba BLS-351 Steering Servo

It looks great, very colorful... I think you'll find that you need better tires than the stock set. A few (including myself) have seen a lack of traction while using them. Granted, wheel spin is part of the sport of CORR, but I prefer my truck to GO when I hit the throttle. You have a lot of power there, I don't know how much the 4wd will help you.

That looks great .

I can't decide on converting the Slayer ( now i know the Tekno kit fits ) or the AE corr truck when it comes out .

To many toys and not enough money :mdr:

Let us know how it runs compared to the Revo.

^^^ Very tough choice, indeed.

Thanks guys, I'm actually hoping the extra weight and 4wd will help these tires in getting some traction. HOPEFULLY. lol.

You have probably 4-5X the cost of a Slash in your Slayer conversion...I'd certainly hope it makes a Slash look silly in terms of performance. If it doesn't kick the crap out of the Slashes, if it were me, I think I'd go cry in a corner.

Frozen72 08.16.2008 12:42 PM

I wish that Traxxas just made the Slayer electric.

BrianG 08.16.2008 12:45 PM

Looks nice! How's it handle?

Skellyo: It might cost a whole lot more, but sometimes it's just about having something different or blingy or whatever. Look at a decked out maxx that can cost well into the thousands of dollars - is the cost proportional to the performance?
