AutoCAD

I'm trying to edit an AutoCAD file and it will only let me select one layer an edit it. I can't select any of the other objects in any other layers. I a pretty competent user, but this has completely stumped me. This is also my first time using the 2009 version. I was always using the 2007 version at school.

wiish i could help, i only work with ProDesktop and Solidworks
