capacitor?
will a 330V 80uf capacitor work with a a vxl esc or a mm.
|
no, low uf and too high voltage
go for 25v 330uf+ |
And you have to make sure it's a low-ESR type. Look for the 105*C rating, The 80*C variety will overheat and puff/leak.
If you can only get 330uF/25v caps, use two or three in parallel to get around 1000uF total. |

lol, that's fine. At some point, you don't get as much bang-for-the-buck. And it gets a little cumbersome finding space to mount it close to the ESC power input, which is where it needs to go. Also, watch that spark!
Adding 1000uF doubles what is found on most ESCs stock. BTW: your pinion should be there tomorrow or Sat I would think. Have fun! |
Look at the new novak modules....
|
is novak the only place to get the capacitor or do other places make them?
|
I just found the right cap in a old charger, in your opinion would it make a difference on a vxl esc?
|
The novak HV 2700uf one does wonders for temps / stability on my MMs... I would do in in a heartbeat...
|
thanks ill have to try it.
