Speaking of boats...

So I'm thinking about getting an RC Boat.
Has anyone every run one of these or heard anything about them

I thought this one looked cool and hey it's already brushless

Buy a supervee 27, great boat. I was not impressed with the proboat hardware, not as nice as the sv27. I got 44mph out of the sv on 4s lipo and a x642 prop.

I'll have to check that one out.
I don't want to chance running my LiPo's in the water, ever had any get wet?

So Linc how bad is the hardware on the Proboat?
I like the looks of it much better and my LHS has one in stock
Can it be upgraded if needed?

I did a little research on the Supervee 27 here are a few links

and remember since I live in the desert I know nothing about boats.....LOL, maybe some other members can chime in...we all know Linc lives near the water

Ya I did a little checking too. I really like the look of the Proboat though.
It looks like it handles rougher water better too.
Thanks for the help, but I'm think I'm going withe the PB

if you want to handle rough water Aquacraft also has a gas powered 54" long boat the V24 that I saw videos looks pretty cool

The v24 is a dog, go with a warehouse hobbies boat, or the shockwave if you want a good big gas boat.

Both octura and twisted liquid offer upgraded dive systems for the proboat. To keep the batts dry, use good masking tape over the hatch every time you run. Which boat are you looking at, your link just sends me to the main page...

All the sv27 really needs is a 4s lipo lvc, like a lisaver or a novah 4cell smart stop.

Remove the stock epoxied batty trays and use velcro. And get an octura x642 prop. I sharpen and balance my own props, takes about 1 hour...

With those mods and some cheap lipos I got 44mph out of my boat. No real need to upgrade the electronics, they work fine. Stock radio is ok, but I went for an fm unit I had laying around.

I have since gone to Rum runner racing and Off shore electrics and have taken in a lot of info and never realized how big FE boating is and it seems like the SV27 is the popular boat to get. Is Aquacraft the Traxxas of RC boating?

Rc boating is more like the plane segment. Alot of guys like to buy bare hulls and build them up with a variety of parts. The sv and proboats offerings are good enty boats and will get quite a few people into FE. The sv seems to respond to mods better from what I have read, and bone stock it is more fun than a proboat blackjack 26...
