do you have the ability to make an aluminum mount? can you get a better picture of the whole truck? maybe from the top?

how about on the opposite side of the motor on the inside of the tvp's?
then it is to close to the spur gear
i mounted mine to the shock tower on my maxx. not sure about the savage towers but do you have a picture of the towers?
I wouldn't mount it outside the tvp's, otherwise it could be hit by twigs, debris etc.
Put it on the opposite side of the motor, and use zip ties to keep the spur from eating the wires. I've seen it done, looked just fine and worked great. If you want, you could even go with a short section of alum. angle bolted to the left chassis plate, that'd make it look a bit cleaner.
what you could do is like dabid said, use angled aluminum and mount it on the inside of the tvp. it would protect the wires if you take the angled aluminum and cut either the bottom or the side long and the opposte to the correct length and simple bend a 90 degree angle in it. ill see if i can make something to show what i mean if you dont understand.

Is the 12020 warrior longer than the 9920?
I'd try to get it next to the motor there too and keep the wires away from the spur with zip ties if you have room.either that or on the shock tower if there's room.if you do have to mount it outside the TVPs then you'd need to build some protection for it or stones/projectiles from the front tyres will damage it. |
