Got my MMM and gave it a good workout. First impressions are this thing is massive and sturdy compared to my other speed controllers. I was too afraid to program it or do anything so I calibrated it and just ran it. In 95 degree weather and after about 10 minutes the MMM was at 118 degrees, the batteries were at 100 and the motor at 180 (doh). This was just speed runs with lots of stopping and starting. Everything seems to be working well. The controller has an incredibly smooth startup. You could rock crawl with this thing. I am pretty happy. I have 0 cogging and 0 glitching.

My setup is as follows:
I'm running a stock 3905 Emaxx with a feigao 7xl geared 20, 68 for about 38mph. I have 2 truerc 7.4V 8000mah 10C lipos in series and an airtronics 2.4 ghz radio.

I plan on running this thing at least once per day so hopefully it lasts. I'll report back if anything happens. I'm hoping this is a solid setup that holds up for a while.

I was one of the last pre-orders and I got it today. I had heard rumors about Mike driving a Ferrari with our Monster mamba money so you can imagine how happy I was to just get it. I had ordered it so long ago, that they changed my credit card numbers so I couldnt have even gotton a refund if I wanted it. The fact that it works is just icing on the cake. Just hold on. There is hope.

Once they make these 100% reliable...they will be the only way to go for 4-6s operation. Next summer I might be snapping these up like chicken Mcnuggets.

HA!!!! I've got 3 more trucks that need MMM's so if this one goes well, I'll be doing the same. If anything you might just want to pick one up to play around with. For the price these things are going for, shipping it back if it goes bad is a small price to pay for this much power. Everyone keeps saying 6S is the way to go to keep amps down, but with the MMM it doesnt matter. I should be about to get 45 to 50mph out of this thing eventually when their motors come out. Thats fast enough for me. These things are just plain scary past those speeds. So is your boat runnin?

Low current also helps with your motor temps :wink: - of course to go higher V you would need more winds too, but thats beside the point :P

your motor is running hot due to the kv rating, try going to a 9XL and it will run cooler unless you gear down, but you would probubly have to gear for 30 mph for it to run cool enough...but whats the fun in that....:intello:

Hi guy's, hemiblas my boat is almost ready I'll have it going in a week and let you know how it went. I changed some stuff around I am stepping down to 4s and a 1515 1y plus I'm waiting for some silicone tubing and a pocket fisherman for retrieval. Anyway yea the mmm problems are scary but they will make this control rock solid just like the mm when that day comes my tote box will be littered with em.

I hope your hydra 240 wasnt the HV model...it would be a sin to run such a low voltage :P

Yes it is the HV, I got that one so I could run it in a bigger boat. This winter I'm going to have offshore order me a 45'' mono that I'll run on 8-10s and I want to just swap the control back and forth between both boats also I just figured the bigger the better for reliability. I've heard that boats can pull some crazy amps, their lightweight with a tiny little props wtf?...lol.

Water resistance?

Yes bonzi! I know the site well and have always creamed over those beautiful paint jobs, plus the boats are super nice. I need to make some calls and find out how easy it is to convert to electric brushless, I do know there is a ton of room in those things.

Were there any actual changes between the 1st and 2nd batches of the V2?

Ok guys maybe I'm missing something here. The more volts get less amps on the speed control, but the motor still spins at the same rpm. Do the more winds produce less resistane and less heat?? Is that why a 10xl on 6S would run cooler than a 7XL on 4S? I thought since they would spin at about the same rpm it really didnt matter which way to go in terms of heat for the motor.

Look forward to hearing how the boat goes. My top speed 2 wont be ready for a couple months but its getting closer. I'm still trying to decide what motor to go with a 1200kv ammo motor or my feigao 10xl.
