Lol.

There are numerous threads with good pics and info for you to look at- do your own research man.

No-one sells conversion kits.

A cut up old emaxx motor plate looks to be the easiest one to do. IIRC it will almost bolt up to the holes on the tranny that hold the little plastic hoop brace thingy...

I made a mount out of al angle, and it was annoying to do.

Sorry, best pic i have of the mount I made:

Are you using the single speed conversion, otherwise, where's your brakes?

Mine simply uses a modded single motor emaxx plate:

BTW, I luv ShooGoo

Can't speak for linc, but I did do the single speed conversion.

It's fun and all, but regular 1/10 ST designs are better IMO since the weight is distributed better.

I used the single speed too. 1/10 scale electric is much better IMO. I got rid of my ejato, as the rustler out performed it, and broke less. I HATE the jato rear shock tower and tranny design... hard to belive that the same people make that and the rustler.

BrianG 09.07.2008 09:47 PM

The only thing I've broken on my e-jato is the rear shock-tower, and that was because I was running with the body off and it caught on something when it flipped. And I'm not gentle on it either, I think it spends more time cartwheeling and on its lid than on its wheels!

I've though about reversing the rear-end so the motor sits further back, but it would be too much work for what you gain.

All in all, not very good on a track. The weight being in the middle makes it spin out easy - even with thin diff oil. Fun basher though; I've hit trees, curbs, cars, houses, me, (pretty much any stationary object) and it just keeps on going.

Oh man Linc, you're killin me
I just finished this conversion and it seems pretty good out on the street but I haven't got it to the track yet.

I'm sure I can figure a way to get more weight in the rear plus, they make alum shock towers don't they?

Just a side note: I needed a home for my original brushless system that I used in my Revo conversion from Dec 2004. It's a maxcim sensored airplane system that has permanent drag brakes so a oneway tranny is a must for me. I figured the Jato would be the ticket so we'll see how it goes.

awesome so the emaxx motor plate can be modified to make the motor mount, i dont have alot of tools, but i do have a dremel, so i should be able to make it work thanks :)

Hey, just because I don't like it dosen't mean its crap! I really prefer 4wd and did not like the jato's sloppy steering in reverse. BrainG Seems to like his jato, and we all know how smart he is...:rules:

Glad someone can read, I am sure that starscream's pic helped too!
