have an easy e jato motor mount idea, or close up picks
like the title says any ideas or photos of e jato motor mounts. close ups if possible
does anyone sell these? thanks |
Lol.
There are numerous threads with good pics and info for you to look at- do your own research man. No-one sells conversion kits. |
A cut up old emaxx motor plate looks to be the easiest one to do. IIRC it will almost bolt up to the holes on the tranny that hold the little plastic hoop brace thingy...
I made a mount out of al angle, and it was annoying to do. Sorry, best pic i have of the mount I made: http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...p/DSCF1599.jpg |

Or fools seldom differ:lol: |
Are you using the single speed conversion, otherwise, where's your brakes?
Mine simply uses a modded single motor emaxx plate: http://home.comcast.net/~jrwoodjr/rc...ns/E-Jato1.JPG BTW, I luv ShooGoo  |
Can't speak for linc, but I did do the single speed conversion.
It's fun and all, but regular 1/10 ST designs are better IMO since the weight is distributed better. |

The only thing I've broken on my e-jato is the rear shock-tower, and that was because I was running with the body off and it caught on something when it flipped. And I'm not gentle on it either, I think it spends more time cartwheeling and on its lid than on its wheels!
I've though about reversing the rear-end so the motor sits further back, but it would be too much work for what you gain. All in all, not very good on a track. The weight being in the middle makes it spin out easy - even with thin diff oil. Fun basher though; I've hit trees, curbs, cars, houses, me, (pretty much any stationary object) and it just keeps on going. |
Oh man Linc, you're killin me
I just finished this conversion and it seems pretty good out on the street but I haven't got it to the track yet. I'm sure I can figure a way to get more weight in the rear plus, they make alum shock towers don't they? Just a side note: I needed a home for my original brushless system that I used in my Revo conversion from Dec 2004. It's a maxcim sensored airplane system that has permanent drag brakes so a oneway tranny is a must for me. I figured the Jato would be the ticket so we'll see how it goes. |
awesome so the emaxx motor plate can be modified to make the motor mount, i dont have alot of tools, but i do have a dremel, so i should be able to make it work thanks :)
