WTB: Pro Line Steering linkage assembly
Anyone have the proline steering arm assembly for the E/T Maxx? My B'in Law needs one for his Emaxx, and I wanted to see if anyone has an extra one.
Thanks |
As a matter of fact my buddy has one that has only been ran a few times and I am pretty sure he is no longer using. I will ask him if he would be interested in selling it.

I got an old one that's taking up space. There's two of them here. One the hole that connects to the drag link is busted out. The sping & nut setup still good. THe other one is fine. Both of them have been sloted with the dremmels so you can get a flathead in there and adjust. Damn those were a pain to adjust. I will have to look to see if I have any posts left though. I think you need two aluminum post also. Don't you?

This thread is the reason I have the old proline setup taking up space. Works good. http://monster.traxxas.com/showthrea...=steering+slop Don't know if I should start a new thread on this or not. I'm going with use what here so.... Does anyone know of an servo saver that is built into the bellcrank like some of the 1/8th that would work on a 1/10th scale RC? I'm looking for one I might be able to adapt for the the LS10 to be exact. |

My brother in law keeps stripping the inserts on his stock and the Kimbrough saver, so I'm thinking this may be the way to solve that (he can use the the servo arm(s) that came with the Hitec). ANyway, let me know if you find all the parts. |
If you want a better setup then the Pro line. Take two of the 3905 servo savers and install them on each side. Use one them to connect up to the servo. I dumped my proline setup for that one. The proline still had a lot of slop in the steering. The mod they show in this thread eliminates that slop and worked out great on mine.
http://monster.traxxas.com/showthrea...=steering+slop Have to wade through all the posts to find the mod. If you still would rather try the pro line though. PM me your address and I will ship it to you tomorrow. Soon as I find the other post that is. This is the setup I use now on my maxx. http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...e3905saver.jpg |
Gee, that looks to be a much better way to do it (I'd do that conversion if it was my own). But since my B'in Law doesnt have a lot of creativity or mechanical ability, I think the pro line is the better way to go for him.
Sent you a pm. |

I just upgraded mine to powerline alum strg arms with brgs. The kimbrough is still doing great job and the little slop that was there is now gone. |
I must of used the shafts I had on the emaxx I just sold. The friend that bought it brought it back for me to fix the bellcrank he busted. I put a GPM aluminum bellcrank on it. That was the last time I remember seeing them. I now you can buy the aluminum posts from tower or amain. Saw them on there the other day surfing. I will do another search tomorrow before I send out what I have to you.
There are times when you regret selling something to a friend or relative. That emaxx sell may turn out to be one of those. |
I have a proline steering kit with posts, bearings and everything else, plus I have a few spare parts for it as well, also it has a 2.5mm titanuim draglink I made out of a old skidplate...shoot me some $ to cover s/h and it's yours....
