My FG MB Pro :-)
I jsut tried uploading some images to the pics section but i get this message:
PHP running on your server does not support the GD image library, check with your webhost if ImageMagick is installed ? Anywayz will put them here for now maybe a mod can move them for me :-) ? Pics are of my new FG MB Pro :-) NOTE: The Front left tyre is back to front! ..this was before i glued them to the rim, i just placed tyres on to take pics but they are now on the correct way around! :-) http://www.codotuk.dsl.pipex.com/pics/page1/beet3.jpg http://www.codotuk.dsl.pipex.com/pics/page1/beet6.jpg http://www.codotuk.dsl.pipex.com/pics/page1/beet9.jpg http://www.codotuk.dsl.pipex.com/pics/page1/beet8.jpg & home made shock sox that ive just added :-) http://www.codotuk.dsl.pipex.com/temp/shoxnew1.jpg http://www.codotuk.dsl.pipex.com/temp/shoxnew2.jpg :) |
very nice. i have been looking into them but decided i would like to do some experimenting with RC first. that is one of the nicer ones i have seen. How do yo like it? is it fun in your opinion?
Very nice! How bout some pics with the body off.
Wow, I like those things so much, too bad they're so stinking expensive..........prob. the only fuel burner I'd ever get though!
lol, gasloline is ez to tune and starts up with no problems!
Thanks guys :-)
Fun wise... well i also have 2 Nitro trucks & since i got this my nitros have been shelved! The power off this thing is great :-) Handling superb..although it turns very well & sharp for a large scale, its taking some getting used too as im used to 1/10 scale! all-in-all im very pleased with it, soon im getting a tuned pipe which bumps the performance up on gassers ALOT :-) will have more pics soon! |
Ohhhh, man, I saw the pics again...........sooo sweet........ somehow the  smiley just doesn't do it justice, whatever happened to that drooling one? :L:
One thing I just thought of, what kind of servos are you running? I've heard the big cars are a bit like boats most of the time, and that some of the 1/6 ones have dual servo mounts. |
The servos i use are Multiplex Power speed for the throttle & Multiplex Rhino Digi4 for the steering, do the job great :-) ....slightly bigger in size than hitec servos but worth it :-)
You could as well drop in a receiver and a few servo's in your 1:1...

how long do those engines last?
Ages i think. The samba pipe or similar will make a big difference. The tuned versions of the 23cc zenoah put out over 5hp.Is the 4wd conversion out for it yet?
is the engines reallly loud compared to nitrO?
I seen these around. I was wondering though. When you run your truck. Then you stop and put it up. Does it smell like gasoline? I don't have a gargae so I would have to bring it in the house. Gas smell in house would suck. Maybe dangerous to. Especially for smokers. :D
I will be honest im new to large scale myself! (this being my 1st ever) but learning by the day so will answer the best i can!
ok about the questions.. how long do those engines last? Very long i believe, they are basically the same as the engines thats used in garden strimmers etc, & we all know how long they last :-) Is the 4wd conversion out for it yet? Nope :-( But apparantely its completed & been tested etc, no idea on release date or price, but rumour has it anytime now! :-) is the engines reallly loud compared to nitrO? At the mo mine has no tuned pipe, so basically its just got a metal thin tube looking thing ugly tbh!) the noise level i would say is probably slightly quieter than my 2 nitro 21. engines, but with a tuned pipe it will probably be slightly louder, however you can also buy Silencers for the tuned pipes...only probelm is they look ugly/bulky! ...but just around the corner is tuned pipes with built in exhausts such as one that Jetpro is releasing so im waiting for one of them before i get a tuned pipe :-) When you run your truck. Then you stop and put it up. Does it smell like gasoline? I too was worried about this (infact it was my main concern when i was thinking of getting one) ...the problem with gas, if you spill any the smell stays for a LONG time unless its cleaned up, so as long you keep on-top of cleaning up any spilt fuel you will have no probs with smell, unlike nitro which when spilt smells of...nothing! ive ran my truck a few times & the only smell of gas is from the exhaust & i love that smell tbh! :-) the only time you smell the gas strong is when re-filling due to obvious reasons! ...on my last run i didnt have time to finish the gas in the tank (was about 1/4 left) & it was dark so i had to bring it home with gas in the tank, Its now right besides me on a table & not 1 smell of gas :-) I wouldn't recommend storing it with gas due to safety reasons though, only reason why its besides me is ive been doing some work to it :-) Also some people dont use normal unleaded gas/fuel, they use the same fuel thats used in camping stoves (cant remember the name?), apparantly it works almost just as well & doesnt have the smell of normal unleaded fuel, the downside is at top end & idle they sometimes have probs with stalling, ive not used it & dont intend to, as im happy with the gas, only worry i had with the gas was the smell, but so far no probs :-) Hope this helps :) |
A few more pics of the chassis! :) ..(excuse the junk on table!)
