Exscuse me for my bad english i am Italian,I would want to modify mine savage in brushless, I wanted a council on the motor and on the regolator to acquire, I would want to use two packages lipo from 7.4 volt 8000 mh, I would want to know if possible also the pinion to use. Thousands thanks Ettore

sorry but I have no experience with a Savage but Brushless is Brushless and here are some "good" examples for motors and controllers:

There are plenty of choices for motor and controller. Depends on how much money you want to spend.

Stay away from Schulze, IMHO. And also the Plettenberg motors are overrated, for this money you can get a real high-end motor.

well, schulze has a reputation for getting burnt up because of "LOOSE CONTACT" that never occur. I wouldnt go for pletten, i would go for that new motor...shoot! i forgot which one it is... is it the 19 lehner sereis? The big new ones taht pump out enough toruque to eat any transmission

I have the 1940/8 Hi-Amp-Version from Lehner (with the BK 20120 controller) also and at least there is no difference in price - if there is any technical difference - I will see that when booth trucks are ready to run - good possibility for me to compare.

High end motors = segmented magnets (for partial-throttle capability)
Such as the Lehner 19 or 22 series.

Solid magnet motors, even if they are 4-polers, have a narrow efficiency range. Generally at full throttle. (i.e. at partial throttle they get hot) Motors with segmented magnets have a wide range of high efficiency.

If you don't mind spending 600 bucks just for a motor/ESC combo, I would say get a 120amp Warrior and a Lehner 1950.
If you want good power for less money, I would suggest a 99amp warrior and a Feigao (or Wanderer) XL.

Stay away from Schulze - Why? Have you seen Serums Hall of Shame?? They have a nasty tendency to burn up without apparent reason, and are backed by poor customer support.
Also, this delay before they go into reverse is something I don't really like in such an expensive ESC.

To each his own, Harald, this is just my opinion. Altough many members here agree on this. Schulze/Pett combos get glorified in german forums, for no reason at all. Even a cheap Feigao 7XL has more WOT efficiency than the Bigmaxx.

Don't want to stirr up anything. Ask Serum if you want a second opinion.

it could go well like motor Feigao 540 10L, and regolator warrior 9920+ 2 packages lipo 7,4 v 8000 mh? Which speed I could obtain? Autonomy? the bec it works with 2 packages lipo from 7.4 v whit this regulator? Thanks thousands:)

The 99amp Warrior should be back in stock pretty soon.

For your application, I would suggest the Feigao 7XL instead of the 10L.

Don't forget an UBEC.

You should be able to get around 40mph.
