MMM and Nomadio Sensor, anyone?
 

Is anyone using a nomadio with their MMM?

Last night I tried to calibrate my new MMM, no luck with the Nomadio. Tried lots of options, no luck. Fustrated, I grabbed an old Traxxas radio and receiver, tried to calibrate with it, worked fine?

Help, I want to use my good radio, not the AM crap.

Try adjusting the MMM's arming time threw the castle link from 1.5 second's to something higher like 2 or 2.5 or higher,some of the digital radio's take longer to bind,I think the it's the specktrum that needs the arming time turned up.

Nomadio React here, along with MMM.

Is your receiver binding to your Sensor before the MMM tones are done? If it's not, then do as wade7575 mentioned.

If it is binding before the MMM tones finish then you might just need to play around with your endpoints and try reversing the throttle channel.

I've got a Sensor and an MMM, no problem calibrating it...All my settings were "standard" until I turned off reverse.

I'll check tonight, I think the tones were done, before the sensor told me it was connected.

What are your endpoints set at? I experimented with 100-125%. Also tried changing reverse with no difference.

I don't know how high you will need to set it but it should not need to be any higher than 5 second's you can try higher than that you never know you may just have one f thing's where everything work's fine but has to be difficult about it.

I'm pretty sure mine are 100% but I'll check tomorrow...going racing!

dave you going to the rcdriver race or do you mean pinshop? Just curious. I have to go to a wedding so no racing but I might stop by lesters sunday to see some of the mains.

With the RC Monster Bash so close, I can't do two two-day RC weekends in one month so I'm just going to Pin Shop tomorrow. No racing for me on Sunday.

Nomadio Sensor here.. had no problems. My radio was reset to factory defaults and MMM was also on factory defaults.

Make sure your RX is bound to your TX.

I'm running a voltage sensor on my battery and a temp sensor on my neu... but that's besides the point.

Update:

Messed with the settings, no help. So I created a new default model, and a backup receiver. Connected fine. Further testing with original receiver, using channnel 1 vs channel 2, I was able to get it almost calibrated but not completely. I'll test more.

Intitial testing was with 4s and NEU 1515/1Y/F, I only thought the old Novak HV 4.5 had power. After a 10 minute test, it took 20 minutes to get the grin off of my face. Will be testing with 5s today, 6s if I get brave.

Another question, for Nomadio users with the voltage going to the receiver, I have only used it with 2/3/4s. According to the manual, it will display up to 20v. Has anyone used it with 6s or do I need to worry about frying something with the extra voltage?

Gmaxx G3 with slight mod to allow use of V1 Slipperential, UE 6 spyder diffs, revo shafts, RPM oversize carriers, arms and shock towers. Still has the original front and rear bumper only. MMM with NEU 1515/1Y/F. Nomadio Sensor.

It won't matter wether you run it on 4S 5S or 6S the MMM will olny supply 5.5 volt's to the RX I have seen some people posting on this site saying that with the new MMM V2'S there getting 6 volt's oing to the RX.Most RX'S are ment to be run on 4.8 or 6 volt's so if you ran your MMM on 4S like you said you did and it was putting 14.4 volt's into the RX it would have fried your RX long ago,it would have been up in smoke as soon as the switch on the MMM was thrown.

He's referring to the voltage sensing channel on the Nomadio transceiver, which can be used to monitor the full battery voltage, so that alerts can be set.

If the manual says 20v is the max more probably wouldn't hurt, it probably just wouldn't display it.

I couldn't find the thread, but the head at Nomadio, At least the head of the support forum said anything over 21v will burn the tranciever. So nothing over 5s lipo if you run the telementry

Even the Spektrum receivers can take up to 9.6v..

however, of course just because the RX can handle up to 20v doesn't mean your servos can. Make sure to remove your servos from the system and anything else that may not be able to handle the voltage (personal transponders, etc). I'm sure you know this, but I'm explaining to anyone who may not :)
