Revo center differential FOC
OK,
This guy stole my idea :p You can see the center diff selling on ebay here: Center Diff on ebay I have to give him respect though, it looks like a nice kit. If I hadn't worked so hard on mine, I'd probably buy one :C: |
wow, i wonder if any1 can replicate it? i bet he never patented it!
|
also! no point in center diff without a rear brake!
|
whats that supposed to meen?

I plan on mounting my revo tranny (with center diff) backwards on the G2R chassis so I will have rear brakes only. For those that run the Nitro Revo with this center diff, they will have the additional task of figuring out how to enable rear brakes if they plan on racing competitively. |
If you run the foc in the tranny with the electric motor. You can have the braking of the motor and esc. But it have to be a single speed.

well i bought one. i'll tell ya'll how it works when i get it. i asked him about the brakes and he said it does make the rear brakes weaker but the front does 75% of the braking anyway so you wont hardly notice it. im wondering what would be better for racing. one of these or a quikturn.
|
I can speak from experience when I say, your not going to have much rear braking power at all.
If your racing, stick with the quick turn IMHO. If you really want to see how much breaking power you get to the rear, leave the quick turn installed with the center diff and see how well it breaks. Let us know how it goes. |
i will. only thing is i need to get a quickturn... would adding a thicker oil give me more braking in the rear? would would be the disadvantages? also, i like how my revo handles now but just need it to turn tighter. i dont mind the front brakes, its just it doesnt turn tight enough for my track. would this thing help? i have thought about it and the more i think about it i think for the way i drive the quickturn wouldnt be the best solution. i think the way i drive it would brake the rear wheels loose and spin out since it would have no front brakes.

The thicker oil would allow more transfer to the rear. What kind of servo you have? I faster turning servo would make the truck turn better and faster.

i have the bluebird 620-mg.
