Testing a couple of 1/10 120A ESC (Pictures of the 200A is in here too)

Hi all,

I've been testing a couple of 120A ESC that can be used in sensored or sensorless mode. I've tested one unit with a Mamba 5700 and now I'm running a 5.5T sensored motor. It's been going great so far. The other unit is in my TC3T and I have a HV4.5 motor in the truggy and it's been doing great as well. I have just received my 200A ESC with the same sensored/sensorless technology and it'll be used in my 2S Speed Run try with the HV1.5 and/or HV2.5 motors. Here are a few pictures, hope you all like them:

those look like very nice quality ESCs

great job

What's the voltage rating?

Yes, they look good and they work good too. I have posted other pictures of the 120A one in the other thread if anyone would like to see the inside and all.

Brian,

They are for 3S lipos, but I can get the manufacturer to make a software to handle up to 6S lipos. The MOSFETs are rated for 30V and are the same as in the Hobbywing Xerun 120A.

What's with the dual throttle cable output? I like the fact that it's a plug rather than a pigtail...

Dual throttle cable?

BrianG 09.15.2008 03:57 PM

Well, probably not a dual throttle, but that's what it looks like:

The first two slots look like throttle cables, followed by a fan lead, and then the sensor port....

EDIT: NVM, I see in another pic it's a switch lead. The three wire switch confused me.

Looks great lutach. Best of luck with them.

It actually three wires because of the program button is where the on/off switch is. The other one is for the fan and then there's a place for the sensor connector.

I hope the 200A ESC works well.

Also sorry to say but I dropped your offer on the brushless 1/5 combo. Money is super tight and I dont want to put my giant brushed scooter motor to waste after just buying it. Ill explain more to you on msn "windows" messanger.

No problem. If the stuff comes in, I'll just put something together for it.

The 200A got my attention. I have a sensored 4star LRP and a 5s power hungry hacker waiting for a compatible ESC. I was looking at the new Tekin sensored brushless esc's as an option.

It got my attention as well . I tested the controller today and wow. I don't know if it was me going nuts, but my KX-One seemed faster with it then with it's little brother.
