Places to buy alu sheets?
 

Hey guys, I need some alu for my crt.5 chassis

Need something under 1/4in, something around 18in long, and idk how wide, maybe 8in?

6061, or 7075, wheres everyone ordering this stuff from? Any links?

Online Metals I buy 90% of my materials from them. Only because they don't sell the other 10%.

Mcmaster.com has alot, but I usually get stuff locally.

Wow, 7075 is pretty cheap when you do the custom cuts! This is awesome, All I have to cut is the little stuff, length and width will be done for me!

Speedy Metals on Ebay is a great store to buy from. That's where I buy my 1/8" x 6" x 48" (which I need more of), 1/4" x 2" x 48", and 1/4" x 3" x 48". The surface of their aluminum isn't of the highest quality by any means, but for the price and for what you are likely to be using it for the quality of the surface should be good enough.

EDIT: All of the stuff I get is 6061-T6.

Travis, I want to try out 7075, for the price, and its cut to what I want, I just have to do the little stuff. Im going to try online metals. I will order today

I just placed an order at Online Metals a few minutes ago. All of the items were plastics, though :lol:. They have some good prices.

I've ordered from both McMasterCarr and online metals. Both places have a really good selection, but tend to prefer onlinemetals.com
