i have already donwload the manual and the truck have a good chassis displacement for a brushless conversionI so who would be the first one to do it??

It doesn't look bad but i don't like kyosho so much, their prices for the parts are more than just expensive

magman 09.21.2008 10:37 AM

I agree w/KYOSHO being way over priced for their stuff...just look at their new buggy, almost $900-...ouch...I could by almost 2 others.

Takedown 09.21.2008 10:47 AM

I want one but look at the pricetag...

BL-Power 09.21.2008 10:52 AM

My local hobby shop here in Germany sells it for 399€. (560$) :gasp:

i think this new truck is at a good price... and even at nitro will be a competitor to revo and others... the chassis look´s very much like losi lst but in small version and the arm´s look´s like maxx with pbs system...
is a light and good looking truck ... let´s see how will with handle on the track´s...

regards

Looks like an overpriced t-maxx... I have a feeling a revo will outhandle it, at the limit. Another option I guess...

Mister-T 09.21.2008 01:43 PM

Kyosho is just using and abusing of there name to sell there stuff, Look at the 1/8 world, kyosho is clearly behind. AE, Losi, HB and Xray rule the place.
People are not blind. why buy a 900 $ buggy when you can get pretty much the same stuff for 400 $ ?
The argument of made in Japan is irrevelant, Xray is made in european country (slovakia) and isn't that much overprice compared to the quality.

Btw does Losi 8 is built in USA or is it made in china ?

It's a shame that Kyosho are so expensive. I wouldn't mind a MP9 but couldn't be bothered spending that much. Some people that are sponsered by Kyosho keep telling me that it is fully hopped up, no special parts required, can't help to laugh at them

timaneli 09.21.2008 06:35 PM

yes, maybe the price of parts and cars continues to be the issue with kyosho!!!
it´s bad for them...

Mister-T 09.22.2008 07:31 AM

Hot bodies D8 win the world,
And it's cheapest competition buggy available ! I guess they will now sell like hot cake

tc3_racer_001 09.22.2008 07:55 AM

hope so - should be a decent brushless conversion - for the price of a high end racer (xray etc) u could get a neu + MMM + enderland pack + D8 i think.?

jhautz 09.22.2008 09:00 AM

More like a D8 and a MMM. Still a good deal though. Wonder how the durability will be on the D8. It does look nice for the money.

A Neu, MMM and an Enerland pack costs more then an Xray kit to begin with.

Yeah, was wondering about the durability. Surprised the shock towers aren't plastic

Mister-T 09.22.2008 09:37 PM

Plastic shock tower is not necessarly a bad thing, almost all 1/10 use plastic (fiber loaded) or graphite shock tower. I prefer good plastic than cheap aluminium.
Check price off a shock tower in 1/8, price goes from 30 $ to 70 $ ... A RC10 T4 shock tower i sold around 10 $

Funny I have just seen a hyper 8 under 300 $...
