HPI phaltline-blast combo... What insert?

I have a few questions my friends....

I would like to order my wheels tonight for BL Muggy "ANKLE MALLET" project :yipi: This is for a very high power application... :intello: NEU 1521-MGM 250A cont. ESC-Flightpower evo 25 6s.... I am going to duct tape the tires as you guys suggested  but I need to know what inserts to order with these?

Also if you guys have some good links for a good price I am going to order 2 full sets tonight... white and black The body is going to be cowprint! dont laugh it will look cool... haha but the spots will be real heavy in the front and light towards the rear so I plan to use a set of the blacks in the front and the whites in the rear.... I may be crazy but I think it will look cool

My last question is what specific brand and type... Linkie? do you reccomend for the ultimate tire-rim adhesion?

Thanks guys!

About the only inserts that fit the phaltlines, are the ones that come with them. Just be sure to clean the rim and tire well before glueing. I like the black tire glue, can't find link ATM, I get it at the local hobby shop.

Any other suggestions on the Glue... Linky? :mdr:

Thanks!

Heath,

If you are shooting for 65+mph speeds, do not use the Phaltlines!! I tested out a pair of brand new ones this past Wednesday. I have a Losi 8T setup for high spped runs. We clocked the car at 75, but the tires blew off!! The tires were checked and reglued before the run still they lasted about 6 passes or so. I have heard that IMEX is coming out with some MT foams for 17mm hubs. However, if you discover a secret to get them to work consistently, PLEASE SHARE!!

Did you buy the preglued ones? They are notorious for blowing off the rims.

I always scuff the tire with a dremal untill the shine is gone . this will help give you a better bond when you glue them . I have also found that thin glue works the best . I wash new tires with simple green first . Then i do the dremal thing . Then i clean both the tire & rim with brake cleaner . You have to get all the mold release off the tire for a good bond .
