help i think my mmm is dead

this is my first this is what happend i was happy running putting lots of dust in the air very fun wahoo :yipi:. then my emaxx servo stoped:gasp: but the motor still ran. so i switched it off then back on it droved forward a copule of feet and just stoped switched off on and it did same. switched it off on a third time it bleeped like normal but then nothing. got home checked receiver wire tried it 4th time nothing. then i got a different receiver. tried it 5 th time i got first set of bleeps then nothing. i think it could be the bec but not shore if you lot have got any ideas or the same just say. also tell me to send it back if you lot think its one of lots.

thank you pete

I would send it in. That is basically what mine did when it died. I would send it in so you can be in line to get the V3's when they are done, I have a feeling they will be flawless. Castle has to get it rite this time.

do you have a volt meter you can check the output voltage of the bec when the MMM is turned on? I sounds ike what happened to mine when it died. Sometimes it woked and sometimes it didnt. When it worked it would work fo a few seconds and shut down again. The voltage on the internal BEC output was varying from 2v to 6v depending what it felt like doing at that moment.

If you can check the BEC output voltage, but thats what it sounds like to me.

just tested the bec with a voltmeter it says about 6v the i switched it on off a couple times and the 5th time got smoke from my servo unplugged servo it powed up fine with both sets of bleeps put it on the floor ran it back and forth lots of times and it works fine. so all i need is a new ace servo at £50 or $90 but at lest its not the mmm.

thank you for the help :yipi:

ive heard many failures from digital ace servos in te recent weeks. i suggest u try another brand :) watch out for hitec, their products are awesome but i had trouble finding an alloy servo horn... futaba / airtronics seem the most supported over here... may be different in the UK.

They came with my 5955TG servos. You can buy them from Tower too.

Yours came with one? Mine didnt, and neither did the one we picked up for my B'in law.

Yes sir!!! All three 5955TG servos I bought have the usual plastic (red, white, black) horns plus the blue aluminum horn.

Same here, I just got a black Dynamite alloy horn for $4 or something. I didn't even get the different colored plastic horns, just black

Impakt also has them

tc3_racer_001 09.26.2008 07:33 PM

thats international, doesnt do much good when your at te track and the mini hobby shop has only futaba ones... someone else there had one i could buy so that was good... also international shiping makes it really not worth it, id rather bay $10 locally than $5 + 10 shipping!!!

but i never got anything with my servo, i managed to strip my cut down plastic one from the box which i never thought id do... anyhow.
