Brushless Mini Inferno Q'S?

I Have A Full Carbon fiber / Aluminum 1/16 MI And A Mamba 25 Esc, I have the mamba 8k motor but have herd some bad things with them in the MI Because Of Heat Issues, So Another Motor Is Needed, I Plan On Using 3s lipo ( if you know of one that fits let me know). Hows The New Micro Novak Mongoose? Any Other Suggestions Would Be Very Helpfull, i know the Hyperion and the wraith, aon and a few others work pretty well but there are more motors coming out so i figured id ask in case there is something better out. And Can You Use A Full Size Connector Like The TRX On Minis? cause i don't wanna have to change my connectors on my charger.

Hyperion long can motors work very well. I've got two mini-inferno St's and use a 5000kv Hyperion in one of them with a 25T pinion from a MLST. The thing is ballistic on 3s and had the same acceleration as 1/8 gassers at the famous Revolution Raceway in SoCal. I did turn the center diff 180 degrees to allow for a motor/electronics on one side set-up and battery on the other. Good luck!

This motor review was for Vendetta ST, but prob similar enough to be helpful - thanks to jaejw1

As long as space permits, there shouldn't be any prob using the trx conns.

the wraith 7k is one of the best motors for a mini inferno st and it stays cool in my 2 cell powered mini infeno

mine is geared for around 35-40 mph

i havent found any motor that runs cool on a mini inferno after 40mph

any conector will work but trx's will be alot of bulk

aren't they discontinued? i cant find them anywhere, b-p-p still has the long can hyperion motors in stock so i may go for that, The New NUE 1105/1.5y Seems good but it needs a big esc.

I'd go with a CC Sidewinder ESC, it's around the same price as my other 20-30 amp ESC's but much more capable. I've had a wraith 7k motor in my Mini Inferno St, but it ran hot on 3s. Permax has IMO the coolest running motor for 3s operation, but I could buy 2 Hyperion long cans for what I paid for it, and you can't really find them any more. Overall, my Hyperion 5k long can motor is perfect for racing on 2s and serious high-speed bashing on 3s. Combine that with the price I paid for 30c Zippy 2s and 3s lipos and I'd say I paidd $150 for motor, esc and battery.

Do you have any diff upgrades installed?

I have the metal differential from mini inferno 09 nitro but the center diff is stock with rigid derlin gear (removed slipper)
