Who invented rc?
This the THE MOST GENERAL question out there! I was just wondering who invented it and how?
Nikola Tesla for the most part, he really was a mad scientist that adored playing with electrical experiments.
I would say, for practical use the military, particulary the Germanswith their experiments with missles and rockets. I'm not sure how it came to civilian use
lol, so theres no ONE founder? it started with missles then to rc? wow! a hobby built from weapons of mass destruction!! i love it!!

I wasn't disagreeing, i was just going on what i knew. Thanks for the info though
intereesting. SO did he get rich of the RC concept? Did he market it or did he jsut discover it, and other people applied it?
Click the article and find out! I don't think he made much money off his inventions, but don't remember.......it's been about 5 years since I did my report on him.
He invented it and built a RC boat, allthough I don't think it was brushless. He died a poor man, so who ever bought the rights to RC may have made a couple bucks. It is interesting that he was playing with Brushless motors that long ago.
I never said (nor does the article) that the boat was BL, I merely said that he made the first AC powered BL motor. I know he was poor though, and people thought he was nuts because of his OCD, as well as his plans to build a death ray.
I did not say that I didn't think the boat was brushless as a correction to anything that you had said. I was only saying it. Thanks for the link however.
lol, whats so weird bout death ray plans? I got 10 in my basement!! Most of them come from dafni and serum! haha
Well, he was already kind of considered to be a bit "off", and the fact that he had wacky ideas about splitting the Earth down the middle and making a death ray to shoot down airplanes didn't help. Most articles put it kind of lightly, but he had a bit of an obsession with that death ray idea, just he never really built one.
hes just like me:) I working on telepathic RC! lol
