Adding a reciever pack how to...

We are still troubleshooting my B'in Laws new Novak system, and the glitch/cut out he is experiencing, and one of things I want to do is add a reciever pack. It glitched horribly on the stock AM, he then bought a Futuba 2.4 system, and experienced periodic stalls. This morning, we installed my DX3 in it, and it still stalled out. So as part of the process of elimination, I would like to add a reciever pack to see if the internal BEC is malfunctioning. Do I just remove the red wire from the plug going to the ESC?

By the way, we measured 7.7 and 7.8 V on the batteries at the time of the last cutout. So the batteries are good enough...

yes, remove the red wire and you should be set

Turcks looking a little redneck now with all the crap tied to it! We got the pack installed, red wire removed - reprogrammed the ESC (just to be certain). Now turning the steering also runs the throttle!! Double checked wiring, all looks good.
