MBX-6 Build

I came home from the track last night to find this in the living room floor.

So I woke up at 5:30 in the morning to start putting it together. :mdr:

First things first: Does my motor/diff mount fit the new chassis?

Yes it does.

Ok second things: How does the Mugen shirt fit? :mdr:
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w...d/IMG_1048.jpg

It fits ok. It's a large and I'm a little on the skinny side. Oh well, it's cool anyway.

I'll keep the pics coming as I progress.

A nice set of Proline Crime Fighters for the new wheels. :mdr:

So far are there any major differences from the mbx-5?....I own a 5 , so just curious.

Cain 10.05.2008 09:52 AM

does the mbx5 RCPD battery tray fit?

macr0w 10.05.2008 01:45 PM

No it does not. The whole center diff if further forward on the chassis.

I'm going to use my R/C Monster tray on this one. :mdr:

They are similar, but there are alot of little differences.

Like on the outboard shafts, the pin in the cvd is captured by the bearing.

The chassis is narrower. Obviously the carbon fibre shock towers. The steering servo is a stand up instead of a lay down.

I don't know what all else. :mdr:

Here is the rear end.

Obviously a refined version of the MBX-5 buggy.

macr0w 10.05.2008 06:05 PM

Almost there.

I still have to do the shocks and the battery tray.

Very nice buggy

macr0w 10.06.2008 01:32 AM

Well, She's done. I think? This thing is so sweet. The chassis is a bit cramped but it's all there. :mdr:

I guess I could have gone into more detail on my build but I was too busy.

My wife was putting on a baby shower for my brothers wife today. I was going back and forth between helping her straighten up the house and yard and putting this thing together.

It took me all day. But it was worth it.

I'm so sleepy right now I'm cross eyed. I can't wait to get home from work tomorrow and give it the real maiden voyage.
