need some help with a writing assignment
 

hey guys i am in college now and some of the crap i have to do is hard for me (writing assignments....)

so right now i have an essay due and here is the "prompt"

Choose a term that needs definition because it is controversial or ambiguous, or because you want to offer a personal definition that differs from the accepted interpretation. State your thesis (argument) as clearly as you are able. For example, if you are arguing that the term success should signify respect for oneself and service to others, state this idea directly.

it has to be 800-1200 words which is not hard.... but ineed to find a word!

the only word i could think of is freind.

hit me up with some ideas and maybe we can come up with something that fits me.

How brave are you - there is the 4 letter word F***... Can't have more definitions for that...

How about terrorist?

i thought about terrorist but the problem is that i am not too informed about politics so i would probably sound ignorant.

or the word "GAY" meaning happy....or the latter.....that's pretty controversial right now.....

If you went with terrorist I would just consider 2 points:

1) Which side of the fence the person is on - Are they a freedom fighter or an anarchist
2) Time / the outcome - History and the outcome colors our POV - Did it become a revolution or was it an uprising...

Or lesbian - The definition of a person from the Island of Lesbos which is off greece.

another word that may work is love

love also came to mind.... but i am 18. i dont think i can write 800 words about this.

yes i love my family and freinds but itd be hard for me.

i will look more into terrorist when i get home from work. (essay is due tonight.:no:)

I would go with "ambiguous" that word can have many or no meanings...

Great word to try to explain during election times... As most candidates base their entire platform on that word...

I can see the teacher saying, "(your name here) this essay really is very good. Did anyone help you with it?"
You: "Oh, the boys at the forum walked my through it..."
Class: thinking *WTF?*

No better reason than that to take it on. By the time you are done, you will know more than what you did when you started it.

My word would be "justice". It is entirely mis-construed from what it was 80 or 100 years ago. It would be easy to write 1000+ words on this topic.
