Two more vehicles being announced tomorrow!

I just spoke with Traxxas. In addition to the Summit and BL-Revo, there will be two more vehicles announced tomorrow, one of which is electric.

The tech said he is way more excited about tomorrow's releases than today. What do you think they'll be?

I'm guessing an E-Slayer. Thoughts?

Also, they will be releasing new bodies for the Slash and Slayer that are replicas of some of the short-course racing driver's trucks.

Hopefully they'll have the info posted in the morning tomorrow like they did with these. However, I'm very surprised that Traxxas is releasing 4 vehicles this year at iHobby.

Should be interesting. Axial is also supposed to be releasing a scale trail truck this weekend as well.

big week for the hobby eyy....

to bad my wallets SCREAMING at me:whip::whip:

Arct1k 10.16.2008 02:24 PM

would guess a proper 1/10 crawler...

Here's an idea - sell Revo custom Kits - Start with either a basic electric and Nitro chassis and then "packages":

- Power plant
--Nitro
---3.3
---2.5
--Electric
---None
---EVX2
---Brushless
--Arms
---Slayer
---Revo
--Diff
---Locking
---Non-Locking

They've basically made it like lego anyway! why not go the whole hog.

I wonder what KV their 1/8 BL motor will be and if their ESC will be 6s capable?

Looks like one of the vehicles is an E-Slayer, but it's 1/16th scale! :gasp:

Thats what the slash should have been - now I might be interested if that becomes a class...

TexasSP 10.16.2008 03:10 PM

I kind of like the idea of a 1/16 BL e-revo.

skellyo 10.16.2008 03:18 PM

As long as the prices on these things are tolerable, I'll have to pick up one of each.

FullMetalGrave 10.16.2008 03:36 PM

oh man if there are Traxxas 1/16ths I'm buying those. To hell with my credit card bill :)

E-Revonut 10.16.2008 03:37 PM

I'm gonna take a guess that the BL E-Revo will cost about $730-750 from Tower

Tempted 10.16.2008 04:35 PM

The brushless E-Revo is going to be a giant fail. Not because it won't work, but because of Castle. They can't keep up with production right now, they will NEVER be able to keep up with Traxxas demands. I would recomend Traxxas use Novak to build their stuff. Better track record than CC and they seem to be able to produce more.

I disagree. I don't think Castle will have any problems keeping up with demand. You have to remember this will be at least a $600 vehicle...they're not exactly going to fly off the shelves at that price.
