would you think those new axles on the summit beat the stock e-revo sliders. i wonder if they are stronger than the traxxas steel CVD's

yup. I think they will eventually replace the stockers. They will becoming on the new BL E-revo too.

doubt they are stronger than steel, but a great replacement for a broken slider.

yes!! i heard the steel CVD's pop out with the extended wheelbase stuff im gunna get. so im really glad to hear that it will have them

Looking at the pic that traxxas has (which may be a computer rendering) the pin looks like it is in the plastic part of the driveshaft? Unless they have a metal end I do not think it is that great. I am sure that they have designed it properly, but the pic does not look that way. I have worn out the revo uv style shafts, but do not think I have broken one yet... Will be nice to have more options, that is for sure!
