Losi Brushless 8 - Medusa Powered
Well I finally got the opportunity to test a Medusa V2 36mm-60mm-2200Kv motor. I shouldn't be surprised after all the testing I did in the Yusa with the shorter 50mm, but wow what a huge difference.
This thing rocked my Losi 8. Now Medusa has the 70mm and 80mm, after what this thing delivered, I am not sure you would even really need that power unless you were really pushing things. http://stampedeproject.com/FTP/Medusa/index.4.jpg http://stampedeproject.com/FTP/Medusa/index.3.jpg http://stampedeproject.com/FTP/Medusa/index.2.jpg http://stampedeproject.com/FTP/Medusa/index.1.jpg |
Glad it performed well for you. What kinds temps and runtimes were you getting with your setup (which was?)?
|
Nice, what temps/runtimes did you get? And what battery and esc were you using?
|
If I'm not mistaken, I think I see a MM heatsink peeking out of that box.

MM ESC in a custom milled (Proxxon again) Losi battery box. I have not done any temping yet, if it passes the 5 second rule I don't worry about it. I ususally run a single 5k-6K 4S MaxAmps or PolyQuest/Enerland pack. |
Looks sweet, top work

Fair enough. Funny, that esc box and fan looks like a prototype for the B.F.ESC that castle are planning- giant plastic moulded case with cooling vents and integral fan... (well, made me laugh a little anyway).
