Largest possible motor for CNC stampede/rustler transmission case?

i'm thinking about getting this case for my pede

Does anyone know whats the largest possible motor that'll fit? i'm thinking of neu's 1515s range :happy::happy:

I have this case on my salsh and run a Neu 1509 2.5d/s.
So if you use jato MOD0.8 pitch gear you,ll don,t have trouble to run a 1515 in it, BUT, you have to use the smooth can Neu, not the finned one.
And listen to me, you don,t have to put a 1515 in that, my 1509 push my slash like a rocket on 3s, not able to keep the front wheel on the ground:wink:

The un-finned smooth 1509 is the largest motor you are going to be able to run in a Stampede/Rustler/Bandit/Slash. Anything longer and you are going to have a real problem with the wires exiting the can hitting the tires. Even at that your gear ratio is VERY limited. I would look into a Medusa 70mm length as thier wires exit form the size vs. the end.

A finned can neu will fit the flm tranny case, bit you will have limited adjustment. I ran a plett maxx which is similar in diamter to a finned neu. I used a 58t jato spur and a 15t pinion and it was fine. You will not need a 1515 motor in anything 2wd. I am sure that a 1509 will be plenty.

No proble to run longer than 50mm can, you just have to bend the wire, no trouble, but do it with caution.

i've run the 1515 1 Y smooth can in my rustler with 6S...if you run the extended rear a- arms w/or in addition to integy 17mm adapters, there isn't even a wire clearance issue.

i however, don't really recommend a 1515 for the rustler....it's like putting a jet engine in a honda s2000. :gasp:

it didn't stay in the rustler for long ...although i used flm cvds.

the stock drive shafts got ripped on first throttle contact with the neu, and was really the only weak part in the drivetrain. :surprised:

thanks for all your input guys...

i'm a super speed freak so just as long as this rocket fits.... im happy =]

i have a 1515 2.5d sitting on the bench so may as well upgrade my pede to something with ALOT more bite!! heheh

IMO, convert the pede to a rustler. Untold things will happen if you don't!
