Tekin be gunnin' for Castle it seems. Curious as to the kv ratings though, and the rear endbells look pressed on, rather than screwed in place. No doubt info will appear on the Tekin website soon...

I called Tekin last week to ask some questions about their motors. The pictures show standard wire leads comming from the back, but they told me they will be solder tab style connections like the 1/10 motors. The solder tabs are a better solution IMO becasue the only thing I have seen failing on the Neus lately is the wires exiting the can breaking from being bent to many times. The vibratio of running these things off road causes the wire to flex a little bit each time and eventually te wires start the crack and when enough little wires break the motor overheats and fails. Looking forward to the tekin motors.

They didn't say nothing about the KV rating on the motors or any info on the RX8 ESC? Aparantly they are only waiting on the cases to come in on the RX8 to get production under way. Maybe late this year if not early next year the RX8 will be out
Wow, solder tabs on the motor, I hope its a nice motor, because having solder tabs is SUCH a nice thing to have
I think I'm going to wait for all these huge motors to come out. I was gunning for a Tekno Neu, but now that I see these Tekin motors I think one would go great with my R1Pro. Can't wait!!! Did they give an ETA?
They're doing in-house testing on the motors as well as the RX8...motors are expected around the 1st of the year.
I prefer motor tabs as well, and the look better then the cheapo looking Losi motors. I hope they are priced right. I won't pay 180 for the feigao looking losi motor.
NOVAK has new motors coming out frist of year also with lower kv. I think I going to wait also to see what comes out during the winter.
