Tough MMM V1 need advice.

I have a MMM V1 that seems to work fine. It has with stood several 30 foot cartwheels when it either braoke the zip tie hold down or the servo tape and banged around inside. I have only run it on 4s but am planning 5s or 6s. Would you keep it or send it back?

keep it...

MetalMan 10.26.2008 03:46 PM

Keep it, but do the firmware update.

slimthelineman 10.26.2008 03:50 PM

i agree i would update the firmware and possibly request a v3 case but keep it for sure!

worst case is that it eventually breaks then you can get the v3 right?

I would keep it as well. I have a v1 that has been throughly abused and I regularly switch between 4s, 5s, and 6s. I have also read that people thought that changing their settings caused failures but I change my lvc everytime I run a different pack because I like a little more "cushion" than the auto setting has. It's also been in 3 different vehicles with no hiccups at all.

Keep it till about next April! Just before it goes out of warranty send it in for replacement. Who knows, by then they may be on v4-5, hopefully it will be v3 still though as I'm waiting to get my replacement and I hope it works well

Get them to send you a case, and while you have ity open check the fan wires. If it still works i see no reason to swap it out. I have a v1 that is still doing fine, need to update the firmware before I run it again.

I jus requested a new case for my V1. I'll be keeping my V1 and seeing how it goes with the new firmware

I just upgraded the firmware so I will request a new case and I should be set at least untill next April. Thanks for all the advice guys.

LOL, I don't think that's it because my 1st v1 failed. I bought this one from skellyo when I was waiting for Castle to replace it with a v2.

Send it to me Mark.

mkrusedc 10.26.2008 08:59 PM

Warranty expires.
