Motor help

Just downloaded my data logger after the first run with the new MMMv3 and I think the motor may be bad. With a very short run and only really gassing it for about 3 seconds, my motor temp hit 200f and had an amp draw of 174!! I was hardly getting on it at all and did a whoping 15-20mph. I did not get a good rpm reading due to settings being wrong. My sig has the specs...gears are54/16.

Do I have a bad motor??????

check your screw(front endbell)they can touch the winding if they are to long and cause this kind of issue:yes:

and write a review of your mmmv3 if you can!!!!

Also, how do I find out how many poles my motor has??? I need to add the info to my data logger.

I dont see any screws on the motor, looks like they crimped the end bells on.

The Feigaos are 2 pole motors. The screws being refered to are the ones that hold your motor on the truck, they go through the front endbell and if they touch the windings thats a big problem. Check your slipper though! may be loose causing the motor to rev way to fast heating it up and causing very low top speeds

The slipper is good, will check the screws. Thanks

FWIW, I use 3x10mm screws for mounting my motors.
