RCShocker and TexasSP's avatars

Anyone else besides me notice the similarity between TexasSP and Doug's avatars? If the "apple does not fall far from the tree"....:gasp:

:intello::lol::rofl:

RCShocker 10.28.2008 10:17 PM

Say what ??? :na:

TexasSP 10.28.2008 11:59 PM

I need to do a more recent pic too as that one is a year old.

Chachi_RC 10.29.2008 12:08 AM

I do have to say to both of you that I love those pictures! I have been wanting to mention that, but didn't want you to think that I was some kind of kiddie-freak! I have a 3 1/2 year old son that both of those remind me of. He is all boy too....I can build something up with his blocks and he will walk over and look at it for a second, and then just destroy it Godzilla style! Great pictures guys! Well, in fact my son is standing right next to me right now growling at me! Sound about right?! :diablo:

TDC57 10.29.2008 12:30 AM

Could it have anything to do with the same Fedx guy delivers to both addresses ??? :whistle::whistle:

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

BL_RV0 10.29.2008 09:32 AM

He must be delivering more than packages I guess! :rofl:

mkrusedc 10.29.2008 10:12 AM

I was not thinking that you bunch of pervs. :whip: I just thought it was cool that they both used pics that look like they are little hellions. No girlie men there. They look like they could be brothers.:oops:

George16 10.29.2008 10:18 AM

Yup, they could be brothers if they have the same delivery guy going to both places :rofl::rofl::rofl:.

I don't accept fedex so no problems here!

My son is 110% boy for sure. He just turned 2 in August and cracks me up constantly. We watched The Incredible Hulk the other day and afterwards he told me one day he wanted to be The Hulk but that he couldn't now because he was a boy but someday he would be a man. He constantly runs around growling like a T-Rex and now like the Hulk, it's a trip. He always wants to work on my RC's with me and has a basic grasp of how to use the tools properly. He has his own tool set for play and will come site beside my while I am working on a truck and bring his firetruck or dumptruck and work on them next to me. He also has about all of the major parts of my trucks memorized, tires, wheels, shocks, a-arms, tranny, motor, esc, receiver, etc.

Does 110% mean he has an extra finger or something? :lol:

That's really cool that you guys involve your kids in your hobbies. Even when my kids were newborns, I would explain to them how R/C and real cars worked and would show them what I was doing when I worked on them.

My daughter (4) loves to play with my R/C stuff as well. I let her drive all of them and just have her help me fix what breaks. She has her own crawler (Nylint 1:6) and is so proud that she can shift it into 2nd gear and be faster than my crawlers. I guess I'm getting off-topic, but I'll use any excuse I can to talk about my kids. :na:

Does noone else see the future Ozzy here?

That what being a good father is all about.

TexasSP 10.29.2008 09:08 PM

We should create a "talk about your kids" thread for all the fathers (and mothers if any actually lurk here).

I know Mark has a few kids and a young daughter that neil was trying to hit on.

I try to involve my son as much in rc as his age/abilities permit. I figure the more he gets early on the better he will be. Kind of like kids that start playing guitar when they are 5, when they are 25 it just comes naturally. Of course I will also be curious to see where his interests lie later on as he grows up as well.

Not quite but he does have a motorhead shirt on.

This one loves metal like his Dad and head bangs to the music. Iron man came on the other day and he ran into the living room and started dancing and head banging, it cracked my wife and I up!

RCShocker 10.30.2008 12:25 AM

I agree, a kid's thread would be great. Nice to hear that your son like's to rock out as well. :yipi: Is it not amazing to know they really like the music that much at that age. :yes: Ask Aidan what he wants to be, he will quickly tell you.....A Rock Star and a Builder. In that order.

And I'll be sure to get pictures up of Aidan this Halloween. He is going as none other than " The Incredible Hulk". He watches that movie too except for "that 1 scene". :whistle:

He definately love's his metal. Aidan turned 5 in September and darn if he doesnt know alot of the words to these songs. Dont dare put something slow on or you get the "Thumbs down" followed by "Boriiiiiiiiiing!!!" He usually runs into his room and changes into all black. Brings out the BattleAX and rocks out. Headbangin and all.

His Favorites are Drowning Pool's "Bodies", Pantera's "Walk" & "Broken". Fear Factory's "Linchpin" ,"Replica", and "Edgecrusher". We are also listening to too much Slipknot these days with a side of the new Metallica.....which is surprisingly good. He know's too if I put Slipknot Track 10 on.."Daddy, that has cussin' in it". But most of his metal is "doody-free".

I too try to include my son as much as possible in all that I am doing. I remember how much I enjoyed be with my dad thru all his hobbies.....R/C planes, go-karts, dirt bikes, airboat, guns, etc. My own dad actually wonders why I am the way I am sometimes. :whistle: Uh, dad.....:na:
