Looking for lipos
Hey, I am looking around for some lipos/charger for my brushless hyper 7. ill be running a MGM comp pro 160 amp esc with a fiegao 8xl-C.
I'm looking for something 4s or 5s, with at least 4000mah. it doesnt matter if its built off of more than 1 pack, it can be a 2s +2s I'm looking for a charger and balancer for it too does anybody know of any good deals? |
|
I think he is looking for used packs
|
+1 ^^^ ...i own neuenergy/thunderpower/maxamps/truerc/elite/flightpower/zippy-h lipos and the only ones i wouldn't recommend are the maxamps....i would compare the zippy's to my neuenergy lipos.....i'm never going to buy name brand expensive lipos again.....these lipos are awesome and if you need more punch for insane speed runs get the zippy-r's....

new or used dont matter to me, whatever works... thanks for the info i will look into em. any word on some budget chargers and balancers?

Try the Imax b5, its what i have, does up to 5s and 5 amps.. built in balancer

SKimp a little on the batteries, but dont skimp on your charger. Think about it a little. That piece of equipment is what takes care of your investment in batteries.
Probably the best "low" priced charger would be the one linked above. |
This one is a good basic charger

I would recomend something more powerful! I just sold off a Hyperion eos0606i and bought the 0610iduo. A 50 watt charger will only charge a 4s pack at about 3 amps, if your going to 5s prolly only about 2 amps so with a 5000mah capacity your looking at 2 1/2 hour charge times. Although the duo is expensive it will charge 6s at pretty much whatever you want! I know my 3s NeuEnergy 4900xp will both charge in 1 hour, my old charger would have taken over 3 hours!

The 0610s are nice, but they have to be hooked up to a DC power source (either hook it up to your car or fork out the money for a power supply). The 0610 NET is only $20 or so more than the 0606 but it depends on if you want the convenience of being able to plug it into the wall. I'd love to have a DUO someday, but for now I'm using an oldschool 5i with 2 LBA10 balancers networked together to charge my 2 2s 8k Maxamps packs, or just one LBA10 for my Zippy.
If you have access to a DC power source or you don't mind risking running your car battery dead (remove the charger and start the engine after charging a few packs and it shouldn't be a problem) the 0610i NET would be a much faster charger. |
Imax B5, It can charge 5s at 5amps.. For 50 bux you cant beat it
|
thanks everyone! i should be able to make a good decision off of this
