Which ESC? MGM, MMM, Something else?

Ok, so I already have a LST brushless conversion topic, but that topic is not synoptic..
So, I made a new one.. Anyway...

I'm gonna run a NEU 1521/1Y this one has 1577 Kv! And NEU 4900 mAh 2 x 3's, so 22,2V...

The problem? I saw a topic with a guy that already burnt 5 MMM :surprised: And I don't want that happen to me! So, I need a GOOD ESC, but don't know what ESC, I already thought about a MGM, this one: http://mgm-compro.com/index.php?tid=...-boat-e-series
But do you guys think those 160A Contionious is enough? And are MGM's good quality? Because I've got no experience with MGM's..

So, what ESC do you advise me?

Thanks!

I think you'd be fine with a MMM, the V3s seem to be much improved over the previous versions and their new firmware is supposed to be very good. Even if you manage to kill it, they are a U.S. brand (support our economy) and they have absolutely top-notch customer service that will always do you right.

If you want an MGM, that 16025 will do fine. I'd suggest ordering an MGM from Mike though, you don't have to have it shipped from the Czech Republic and he gets really good prices on them. I have a 16018 and have pushed it pretty hard with my Neu 1515 and it's been a good ESC so far, I wouldn't worry about their reliability. Just keep in mind that if something happens you have to send it back to the Czech Republic and wait a long time for repairs.

Ok, maybe I'll wait how the V3 is gonna do it..

Thank you for your reply!

Lutach.

Check out Lutach here on RCM. He has a thread for some high voltage ESCs here on RCM. He is bringing in some high voltage ESC's from China and having good success with the buyers sharing thier experiences. He has a 6s model and a 10s model that have great specs and all of the reviews have been pretty good so far. The ESC comes with an electronic program card as well for easy setup at a very good price.

Yeah, lutach's ESC is great. I'm trying to find a project one will be good for because they're so darn big! I'll probably get the 10s version for my 6x6, because it would be a hassle to have to set up mech brakes on it without the use of a transmission, if it's even possible.
