help me pic an outrunner for my max project
so i need some advise on a project truck im working on. im planning a center mounted out runner on a t-maxx chassis but im getting hung up on how big of a motor i need.
the goal is a lightweight MT that runs on 3 cell at the track and can top speed and bash on 4 or 5 cell so the lighter the motor the better there is room for a motor that is 44x80mm with a 5mm shaft so i found this http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...less_Outrunner is this the right way to calculate direct drive? Differential Ratio: 2.8461538461538462 t-maxx diff Transmission Ratio: 1 Other Ratio: 1 Spur Tooth Count: 1 Pinion Tooth Count: 1 Total Voltage: 11.1 Motor KV: 500 Tire Diameter (inches): 5.9 Tire Ballooning (inches): 0.1 Spur/Pinion Ratio: 1 : 1 Total Ratio: 2.84615 : 1 Tire Circumference (inches): 19.16 inches (486.76 mm) Total Motor Speed: 5550 RPM Vehicle Speed: 35.39 mph (56.84 km/h) Estimated Adjusted Speed: 34 mph (54 km/h) - 5% loss Effective KV Value: 500 KT constant: 2.7 oz-in/A or will this be enuff? or will it over heat? http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...s_35-48_900Kv_ if you know of a better outrunner for this project please post me a link and any other advise is welcome thanks for the help |
