9XL gearing

My buddy bought a 9XL today and he was wondering what pinion he should use? would a 9XL get to hot on 22/66 gearing?:neutral: I already checked the motor selector and it said it would be fine, but he just wanted to make sure. Thanks.

What vehicle will this 9XL be in and what voltage will he be using?

My 9XL in my E-Revo on 4s works like a champ with 24/65 gearing, so if it's going in something similar, I'm sure 22/66 will be fine.
