Upcoming Rascal Conversion
Hey guys. I have me a new baby coming to my doorstep soon. A Schumacher Rascal. I plan to ditch the .18 and run a brushless 540 setup in it to match the power of the .18 seeing the tranny should be pretty beefy. I dont know exactly what setup yet but it will hopefully be awsome. I am looking into the Hobbywing 30a 540 setup which should be plenty and a Zippy 4000mah 2s or 3s. Here are some pics of the rascal to start out with...

Looks good- I'd go with a medusa 36-60-2000 on 4s or a 36-50-2200. If you don't have the cash, go with like a 15l.
those are a TOUGH trucks! check out the chassis i think it 4mm thick, you could use a track power saddle pack for 2s 4900 mah would be easy to mount on the little chassis, and run a medusa 3300 kv, or a 9L.

It amazes me how low-pro the shocks are.

Im still waiting to hear from the guy that will be sending it out. Ill let you guys know.

Ok guys heres an update. I received the rascal today and it looks like a very worth brushless conversion truck/mini. 1/10 drivetrain with 1/10 axles. Also has no one way bearing so I can run in reverse. Here are some pics I took on my cell. Not the greatest but they get the point across....

Very COOL! :mdr: Can't wait to see this one go.
Nice. Looks like a mini on steroids.
Haha, the 4mm chassis definately is roids.
are you going to be able to put batts on the thing? looks like your running out of room
Looking good! I can't wait to see how this turns out...the Rascal is a crazy-tough machine (basically the little brother of the Havoc). How are you planning to lay-out the LiPos?
 Looks like mounting batts will be quite a challenge after all.
Wow, everything came toghether very cleanly. Ill get pics up here soon. Still having a difficult time finding a place to mount a lipo pack. Im thinking saddle is my only option.
The conversion is still not 100% completed. I still need to bring the upper deck back down and mount it yet. I also need to find a place to mount the lipo.
