Aluminum Axle Carriers

Hey guys, been awhile. I have a really annoying question. I'm looking at Mike's Integy modded aluminum axle carriers to replace my RPM parts, are there plastic inserts included to keep metal off metal with the pivot balls?

not perse, but the pivot ball retainer centers the pivot ball in the knuckle so there is no real metal to metal contact. I've used stock, rpm, and aluminum knuckles, and have found the aluminum to turn more freely than the other two, and they are much much more durable

Thanks paralyzed- you'll be the last word, I'll go ahead and order them up.

I'm sorry but I disagree..

I've had alum and plastic (RPM) and find that (first of all) all Integy parts SUCK DONKY DICK!! Yes's I’ve had the whole 9 yards (IE) top of the line stuff from them so before you start to right up the nasty gram I can speak from experience not out of my butthole..:lol:

RPM's are better  but you will find that they flex and you will pop out your pivot ball on hard crashes.:oh:

IMO I would go with RPM anytime and day of Integy..

Just my two cents…

P.S.
MY biggest waste in RC was to do this!..

I'm running integy's and not having many issues - I ditched the RPM's as I kept losing pivot balls...

Swings in roundabouts...

Too late!

I ordered them.

I have no real love for Integy, I had a set of MSR4 piggybacks originally, what a pain to overhaul... those are gone and the only Integy part I am using at the moment is the rear diff case.

The pivot balls have pulled thru enough times so that when I get the weight on one rear wheel, it gives out. 14+ pounds on one rear wheel tends to put a little stress on things....

It bugs me that RPM only sells their knuckles with bearings, I already have spares, so I thought for about 6 more bucks I'd buy the alum knuckles.

That will make 2 Integy parts on my Mutt. If they end up not working the way I'd like then I'll go back to the RPM knucks.

Thanks for the input guys!
