hey all, i was driving my revo and it rolls to a stop, motor revs and it goes nowhere. so i take apart the tranny and i find the clutch wheel has come loose from the shaft.:whip: Is there a way to fix this or just buy another and hope it doesn't happen again

the clutch has a set screw that holds it to the shaft. so all you need to do is unlock the clutch reassemble the gears use locktight on the set screw and then put your three screws back in to lock your clutch. I beleve this will fix your problem.

dont know how i missed that, i actually snapped the pin, damn
thanks

Actually, the set screw simply adjusts the shift point, but since he has it locked, that could be removed and it won't affect anything (actually it could help since it can't come loose and float around inside there).

My first thought was the pin as well. Is it the pin actually on the clutch, or is it the pin that holds the gear to the shaft? If it's the latter, there is a sticky on how to fix that so it's tougher. If the former, then it might have been a weak pin and simply replacing it should be fine.

its the pin that holds the locked clutch onto the shaft
I've done the briang dual pin method to hold the gear on, thanks for that one by the way

Hmm. Never had that break since it's usually pretty tough. I would just replace it and see how it holds up. If it breaks again, you might want to check into a different pin (maybe from a diff or something).
