Looking for AL for a new chassis...where to buy...it's for a crt.5

Just wondering where I can buy a small sheet of Al. What size and grade do you guys recommend? I have a sheet I am using as a mock up, but it is WAY too thick to use.

Almost all the aluminum I've ordered in the past 4 years has been from Speedy Metals:

6061-T6. The surface finish isn't typically all that great (it's good enough), but you can't beat the price.

There's also Online Metals which a lot of other members here like:

Thanks Travis! How thick should I go.

For 6061 I think 3mm.

No problem.

You may have an easier time finding 1/8" thick, which is 3.17mm thick .

i bought a sheet of 1/8" 7075 T6 from onlinemetals.com and was very happy with it. very good prices too. check this link.

you can specify the size too. i think a sheet of 1/8" 7075 that was 7" x 18" was only $35. or you can just buy pre-cut sizes.
