Chassis/weight question

I weighed my Maxx today, RTR (with batteries) and was pretty amazed to see it only weigh 11.5lbs!

Anyway, It goes really well on 14cells and thinking of upping it to 16.

Although I'm wanting a new chassis and have several options (using G1 at the moment but would prefer something that could hold 16 flat and a higher ground clearence)

I rather like the FLM chassis, for $90, it looks like a bargain, just wondering if 2-4oz more would be noticable? Either that or get a G2 chassis or the UE Lightning - but out of stock and just wondering if I really need something so high spec'.

So your knowledge please. :)

Id say you should go for the g-maxx cf chassis, they hold 16 cells and are pretty light, and strong. The FLM look like they are nice and bulky, but on the heavy side, but they look like a great bang for the buck.

For bashing purpose I think the flm may be better for the ground clearance. I think the gmaxx 2 is better for race and low center of gravity. I have the g2 and waiting on the flm chassis. I can compare and let you know nick. If I remember you run the 7xl on your truck. A couple of oz won't be noticible to that motor.

That would be great if you could compare them, got an estimate time when yours arrives?

So with the 7XL, a few oz will take a little bit of power away, but not enough to effect speed or performance? Not sure how electric power works with regards to weight.

Thanks.
