Looking to buy a Trinity Monster Maxx Motor
As the title says I am looking for a trinity 550 size brushed motor. Someone must have one laying around from the good ole' brushed emaxx days...
Looking for a decent 550 sized motor to go in my waterproof crawler. I am having issues with the sealed can 550 motors, the crappy brushes and springs just are not holding up. I would go with a regular 540 motor, but would like the extra torque to push the truck thru the water. Any of the motors will do, mild, wild, or pro... Thanks Guys!!! |
Hey Linc does this help? eBay!!!

I was working more towards another member here thinking " Wow, that lincpimp guy sure is a great addition to the forum, and I really enjoy his wit and incredible builds. If only there was a way I could show my appreciation... Wait a minute, I have a trinity monster maxx motor just sitting around. I am sure that linc would find a good use for it, and I could send it to him if he paid the shipping..." Not sure if we have members quite as strange as that (jayjay, tdc...) but I figured that I would ask... Hey, if you don't ask you don't get, right?!?!?! |
Point taken. :intello:

Thought about a cheap integy motor? They give decent power.

I have some nicer ones around 20 turns, but they are nice enough that I wouldn't recommend ruining it in the water. Good luck finding a decent cheap 550, seems they are hard to find nowadays.

Does it have to be rebuildable? Something like a power drill 550 or 650 size motor would probably have the torque you want, yet be cheap enough to replace since water will definitely be in the equation. Dunno otherwise.

i had some of these on my emaxx, and they worked real well. totally waterproof haha. i ran them suckers sooooo hard, temps musta gone over 220 multiple times, and they still work. for the price, i wouldnt care too much about it. i ran them on two 7 cell packs with no problems.

lincpimp, did you round up some motors yet? Are you looking for one or two? I believe I still have some new in the pack Trinitys in the basement, but I'll have to look for sure. I know I bought both mild and wild years ago and I don't recall using the one set.
