CC monster motor diameter
CC website says the motor in the MMM combo will be 75mm long for 2200KV and 67mm for 2650KV. So how is the diameter? and the shaft length? I looked carefully for that info but not found.
I am running a Tekno Losi 8-T, I think it might be wise to prepare another properly sized motor mount for my coming MMM combo. Thanks. :gasp: |
It is based on NEU motors, 5mm shaft diameter and presumabley 44mm diameter (with cooling fins), like the finned neumotors.

Good, but the CC motor can looks more like "ribbed" or slotted than "finned". The neumotors really have fins.
So which neu motor should I compare CC motor with? Smooth can (39.5mm) or Finned can(44mm)? IMO it's more like the smooth can version, otherwise the motor wall will be 3~4mm thick! and weights a lot. |
I just got the calipers out:
44mm Neu 42mm castle ribbed 48mm castle hpi version Rgds |
Arkt1c where did you get that CC/HPI version?

;-) - I'd have to shoot you

But were your calipers precise enough to have a 0.1mm reading resolution? |
yes... but are you that tight on spacing

Hi Arct1k, I am running a Tekno converted Losi 8T, I have to confirm the motor will fit into the motor mount fluently. Also I need to know the gap size beteen the motor can and the motor mount to find a proper way to do thermal coupling for the mount acts as heatsink as well...... Thanks for your data. |
